Despite encountering significant challenges, such as missing the initial application distribution due to illness, Martin's relentless pursuit of his dreams led him to secure a U.S. scholarship application form from a peer. His determination paid off when he emerged victorious in a national competition, earning one of only two scholarships awarded by the US government in 1970. This achievement marked him as the top student in Africa

Martin's academic journey in the United States was distinguished by excellence. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University in New York. His educational success provided a solid foundation for a distinguished professional career.

His professional journey took him across various sectors and continents. As a trading manager for Chevron in London and Abidjan, Martin showcased his leadership in managing complex operations. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish FRUITCI, a fruit juice company where he managed all aspects of the business. Although the venture faced challenges and ultimately folded, it provided Martin with invaluable experience.

Martin's role at APEX-CI, Côte d'Ivoire's export agency, saw him managing FADEX, a World Bank-funded program aimed at promoting exports and supporting small businesses. He successfully oversaw the selection of 100 companies from 2,000 applicants, significantly impacting the local economy.

In his role as IT Operations Manager/Managing Director for a government institution, a subsidiary of the World Bank, Martin assisted small businesses in becoming international entities. His contributions to personal development and community service include authoring "Vous pouvez transformer vos rêves en réalité" (Make Your Dreams Come True) and serving as the President of the NGO "Notre Nation

In 1965, she co-founded an IT firm with her husband, becoming one of the first Black women to establish such a company in the U.S. Her firm not only survived but thrived during a time when the tech industry was dominated by white males. Her strategic acumen and resilience were pivotal in securing substantial government contracts through the 1970s, showcasing her ability to excel in a challenging environment.

Her leadership was characterized by a forward-thinking, inclusive approach long before diversity became a buzzword. She fostered an environment where diverse talents could flourish, demonstrating a commitment to mentoring and career advancement that earned her immense respect and loyalty. Her educational background is equally impressive, with a BBA from Detroit Business Institute, an MPA from Nova Southeastern University, and ongoing PhD studies in Public Policy and Administration at Walden University. Adekola's career took a significant leap in 2012 when he joined AIO Systems & Solutions Ltd as Project Support in their Network Operations Center. Over three years, he supervised the installation and configuration of monitoring systems on over 500 telecom masts, significantly improving operational efficiency. He also excelled in data analysis, generating critical reports that highlighted operational snags and secured a 5-year contract renewal for the company.

In 2015, Adekola joined Bridge International Academies as a Project Supervisor and Real Estate Professional. His role involved securing properties for redevelopment in low-income communities, conducting due diligence, and engaging with community stakeholders. His work at Bridge International Academies demonstrated his ability to navigate complex real estate transactions while ensuring community acceptance and support for educational initiatives

Adekola's versatility and adaptability became even more evident during his tenure with Rianol Energy, where he managed a £2.2 million biofuel project aimed at providing clean and affordable renewable energy solutions in Nigeria and West Africa.
